10 Best Power Banks in India with 10,000 mAh Battery

Frustrated with frequent battery dropout issues? Then, you should definitely best power bank for mobile!

In the good old days when the featured phones were the king of the market, people used to get around 5 to 7 days of battery life (think Nokia). Unfortunately, that is not the case now. The latest Smartphones come with advanced features and they consume a lot of battery in the line. Of course, there are few tips to increase the mobile battery life. But, you can extend the power backup only to some extent and that too by compromising on your needs like WiFi, Brightness, Gaming etc...

Fortunately, there are two solutions to this problem. Either purchase the best battery backup mobile (with high capacity) or get a powerbank for your Smartphone.

What is Power Bank?

It is simply a portable electronic device that comes with rechargeable batteries. You can charge your mobiles or tablets by connecting them to the battery bank via USB cable. Interestingly, you can charge almost any device that comes with microUSB support such as mp3 players, iPods, digital cameras and some laptops.
how to buy a power bank
How to Use Power Bank?

Using a powerbank is very easy. All you need to do is connect your mobile/tablet to the charger by using a microUSB cable (provided). The portable device then transfers its charge to the connected device. Since, it is lightweight, you can carry it with you always.

How to Charge a Power Bank?

You can charge your portable charger normally like you charge your mobile. Just plugin the charging cable provided with your bank and connect it to the power board.

However, the charging time of a powerbank depends on the battery capacity. The more the capacity of the battery bank, the more time it would take to get charged.

How Many Times Can I Charge my Mobile?

Well, this too depends on the capacity of the battery.

Say for example, you've purchased a 10000 mAh power bank, then you can charge your 2500 mAh mobile battery up to 3.5 times (not exactly 4 times. It diminishes with repeated charging).

Which Power Bank is Best?

There are 3 different types of powerbanks namely
  • Universal Power Bank
  • Solar Power Bank
  • Old Style Battery Case
While the battery cases cannot be fitted with all mobiles, the solar power banks cannot be charged in the low light conditions.

So, the ideal choice would be the universal power bank charger.

How to Save Battery While Playing Pokemon Go?

Talking about Battery Drain Issues while playing Pokemon Go mobile game.

Pokemon Go has become one of the most downloaded games on the mobile market and is still growing strong in terms of downloads & user ratings. To be frank, it is even killing the social media addiction of many mobile users as they’ve shifted their concentration to playing the game fulltime. Although, the game has not been launched in many countries, you can still download Pokemon Go through unofficial sources.

If you’ve already download the game and playing it on your mobile, then you might’ve experienced how fast your mobile phone battery is getting drained out. This is because Pokemon Go uses your mobile’s GPS chip, CPU/GPU and camera. Not just these, your phone’s brightness levels are also set to FULL as you’re supposed to play the game in the outdoor conditions most of the times. This would take a dent on your battery life. Of course, most of the Pokemon Go players are making use of the portable battery banks in order to increase their battery life. But, this is not feasible for many as they’ve to carry a power bank all the time in order to charge their device.

Save iPhone Battery when Playing Pokemon Go Game
If you’re one of those who don’t want to compromise on the adventure of finding pokemon for such hardware and software issues, then here are few simple hacks you can do to improve battery life while playing Pokemon Go on your mobile.

Also see: How to Stop Facebook app from draining battery?

How to Save Mobile Battery While Playing Pokemon Go?

#1.Disable Auto-Brightness Feature

Since, the game requires you to go outside most of the times, it recommends enabling ‘auto brightness’ feature. However, this would increase the brightness to full when you step out from your house. To be frank, we can actually manage the phone with adequate brightness in the sun light and not every time we need Full brightness. So, it is advised to manually adjust your brightness levels to your comfortable levels, thereby saving some effect on the battery life. This would prolong your device’s battery life while playing the Pokemon Go game.

#2.Disable Music Effects

Pokemon Go Battery Saver Settings
You’ll always be reminded about the games in the series with a sound notification. Although, the music is awesome, it gets boring in the long run. Moreover, this background music will actually drain some battery. You can simply turn it off to save some battery.

Go to Settings and uncheck the Music option.

#3.Disable Augmented Reality Feature

By using the AR feature, you can see the Pokemons live in your surroundings. However, this feature requires your camera to be on all the time and could potentially cause a lot of battery drainage. So, if you’re an avid game player, it is suggested to turn off this feature. Moreover, you can actually see the pokemon in the mobile interface and hit them with the pokeballs.

To turn it off, just turn off the small ‘AR’ button that appears on the top-right of the screen when you encounter any pokemon. If you want to enable this feature again in the future, simply turn on the ‘AR’ button that appears while catching any pokemon.

#4.Use Battery Saver Option

Thanks to the inventor of this game, there is a built-in battery saver option that reduces some battery drain while playing Pokemon Go. What it does is – just dims the phone’s brightness to the lowest when you’re walking with your mobile to your side. To enable this option, you’ll need to have a Smartphone with gyroscope option –

Tap the ‘Pokeball’ found at the bottom-middle of the screen and choose ‘Settings’. Now, check the option ‘Battery saver’.

Enabling this option will save some battery while you’re roaming. Don’t worry! You’ll still receive vibration alerts when there any Pokemon near you.

That’s all friends! Hope, these Pokemon Go tips will minimize battery drain issues while playing the game for a longer duration.

Lenovo Vibe K5 Review: Best Android Phone under 7000 INR

This Lenovo Vibe K5 review is completely unbiased. I personally bought this mobile and am reviewing it so that others can get some insights about this handset before purchasing it for real. If you’re looking for the best Android mobile under 7000 or the best camera phone in India at low-budget, then I’d definitely suggest the Vibe K5. Why? Read the full review to know why I loved this mobile.
Also find the Lenovo Zuk Z1 Review & Yu Yunicorn Review.

Lenovo Vibe K5 Unboxing & Review

The Lenovo Vibe K5 is actually a optimized version of the Vibe K5 Plus, which was released a month prior to the earlier. The major differences between Vibe K5 & K5 Plus is the Display and Processor. While the K5 Plus has Full HD display, the K5 has HD IPS display. While the K5 is powered by Snapdragon 415 octa core processor, the K5 Plus is powered by Snapdragon 616 quad core processor. Except these two, all the other specifications are same for both the devices.

Display

Full Review of the Lenovo Vibe K5 Android Mobile
The first thing I liked about this device is the display screen size. It sports a 5 inch HD IPS capacitive display. The colors and viewing angles are very good. You can clearly see the labels of the apps from almost all the angles without any issue. You also get a screen protector free along with the handset, but I’d suggest to purchase a tempered glass for extra protection.

The handset comes with a premium aluminum casing which is very strong and gives the phone a premium feeling. It is available in Silver, Grey and Gold variants. I personally liked the Grey variant.

No issues faced with the auto-brightness feature. It is getting activated almost instantly with the surrounding lighting conditions.

Processor & Memory

The Lenovo Vibe K5 is powered by the new gen 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 Octa core processor, combined with 2GB of RAM. There is no issues faced while using multiple applications in the background. The free RAM memory on the first boot is 1.2GB. The mobile is using the RAM very efficiently so that you don’t face any lag while shuffling between different apps.

You also get an internal memory of 16GB. However, only 9.5GB is available for use on the first boot. There are a lot of bloatware apps on this device such as Amazon, Evernote, Gamestore, McAfee, Shareit, Skype, Tap the Frog and WeChat. Luckily, there is an option to uninstall the bloatware apps and save memory. You can also expand the memory up to 32GB using a microSD card.

OS

The devices runs on Android v5.1 Lollipop OS and on the top is the Vibe UI. The navigation is pretty easy and straightforward.

Camera

There is a 13MP primary camera with auto focus and LED flash on the rear and a 5MP front facing camera for selfies. The camera is quality is excellent for this price range. In fact, if you’re looking for a mobile with better picture quality at this budget, then the Lenovo Vibe K5 is for you. There are a lot of filters for every need. Just choose the one that suits your requirement and get the best output.

Gaming

I’ve played the Asphalt 8 on the Vibe K5 and the game played in high quality mode with minor lags. When I switched to the medium quality mode, there is no lag and it played really well. Thanks to the Dolby Audio speakers, the sound quality is awesome.

Battery Performance

I’ve been using this mobile as my primary device and getting up to 6 hours on moderate usage (calls, browsing and occasional gaming). If you’re a light user, you’ll definitely get a full working day. Surprisingly, there is not much heat even after playing the games continuously for 30 minutes. The highest I’ve encountered was 40 degrees. The device is optimized well to make full use of the 2750 mAh battery.

Others

The Lenovo Vibe K5 supports dual SIM cards (micro) and both supports 4G LTE connectivity. So, this can also be listed in the best 4G phones under 10k price. The connectivity options include Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, WiFi, 3.5mm Jack and microUSB v2.0. And yes, the phone supports OTG pen drive.

Lenovo Vibe K5 Review: Final Verdict

At this price point, you also get the Coolpad Note 3 Lite and Redmi 2S Prime, both are the best sellers under 7000 at this moment. The Vibe K5 is superior to the Redmi 2S prime, but lacks a few features that the Note 3 Lite offers, which include Fingerprint Sensor and 3GB RAM. If you’ve no issue with branding (it matters when it comes to aftersales support), then go ahead with Coolpad Note 3 Lite. Else, the Vibe K5 is for you. Both the mobiles offer great features at less price.

I’ve found this Vibe K5 mobile very user friendly and hence I bought this for my dad who don’t need the fingerprint sensor and extra RAM. So, if you’ve similar requirement, then the K5 is for you.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 (fingerprint sensor & headphones missing)

Lenovo Vibe K5 Pricing and Availability

Currently, the handset is available exclusively on Amazon.in for a price of Rs.6,999 in India. However, you’ll need to register for the flash sale in order to get it.
